This is what one month of postmates deliveries sounds like. Every market has its own instrument, and the volume of the sound is determined by the percentage growth of that market in a moving 1-hour window. Every hour in the data is one second in the piece.
We divide our markets into tiers, and I did the same with the instruments here. Tier 1 is all natural strings, Tier 2 is all synths, Tier 3 is all mellotron, Tier 4 is kind of just random weird sounds. The instruments are panned so that they're equally spread out in their tier, the higher the rank, the more centered. So for example, there are 9 markets in Tier 1, so the top market is in the center, #2 is 25% on the right, #3 is 25% on the left, #4 is 50% on the right, #5 is 50% on the left, etc.
